An update from the team & status reports

Team work is going well!

 

Status reports / updates: 

I’ve had so much fun making those robots but my favourite part was when they used the ultrasonic sensors to turn around. At home me and my dad have improved the robots code to make it turn from greater distances!😃- Alex

 I’m really enjoying making my robot; the most fun part has been learning about the circuitry and how each sensor and actuator works. Working as a team is great - I can’t wait for us to put all our ideas together and design and code our final Robot! - Seb

In the last meetings we have each built our own individual robots to take home and practice programming. So far we have programmed our robots to drive and avoid obstacles using ultrasonic goggles (HC-SR04 sensor). We are working on the line sensors with help from our school DT and CS teachers. We are working on the grabber for the barrel sorting task. Our team motto is “aim high, fall low” - Miles

The most fun part about entering Pi wars 2024 has been making the robots drive autonomously, and .... well, really not driving into stuff. It's been hard and as our team motto goes we "aim high and we fall low". It's a time of discovering what we can do and can't do with robots and working through the challenges that we face in engineering the optimum Pi wars robot. - Alex
